About Me
Victor Borden is a leading scholar and practitioner in higher education policy, performance, and equity. As a retired professor from Indiana University, he brings over four decades of experience in institutional research, strategic planning, and data-informed decision-making. Victor directed the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education from 2014 to 2022, shaping how colleges and universities are understood across the U.S. and beyond. A former president of the Association for Institutional Research and Fulbright Specialist in South Africa, he has authored more than 150 publications and delivered hundreds of presentations worldwide. His work continues to influence how institutions advance accountability, inclusion, and student success.
